Dr. Ajmera joined Gastroenterology Associates of Fredericksburg in June 2019. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Cooper University Hospital, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital. Upon completing his training he worked for five years at Marshall University/Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia, where he was appointed Chief of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Ajmera is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. In addition to performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, Dr. Ajmera is skilled in performing multiple advanced therapeutic interventions including endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), endoscopic luminal stenting and radiofrequency ablation (RFA). These advanced therapies enable Dr. Ajmera to provide leading-edge treatment of conditions such as early stage GI cancer, stricture or compression of the GI tract and Barrett’s esophagus.

In his free time Dr. Ajmera enjoys traveling, yoga, snowboarding and crossfit.
